The three of us landed in Beijing. The city has a population of 18.5 million people - thus, Chicago would be considered a small city in China.
Our tour guide was Jack - as many Chinese take English names - I guess it's easier! We started our tour as soon as we got off the plane. We visited many sites in and around Beijing - quite a whirlwind. Here are some of the sites we visited! This street featured above is called - in English - "The food street" - very crowded and street vendors line the blacktop. I did see live tiny scorpions on a stick that are fried quickly for consumption... I didn't try it!
